SharkMakers is entering its 12th year! 2026–27 season highlights.

The SharkMakers Journey. Over five months, teams of 3–5 students will identify a real-world problem, validate their idea, build a minimum viable product (MVP), develop a business strategy, and pitch what they create. Along the way, students work directly with industry mentors, gain exposure to Tampa Bay businesses, and compete for $15,000 in cash prizes.

Real-World Experience – Interactive, in-person workshops combined with team collaboration, mentor coaching, and hands-on product development. Kickoff is December 12!
Build Something Real – Move from problem to customer to product to pitch while learning human-centered design, product strategy, technology, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
Industry Mentors – Work alongside professionals who will coach, challenge, and help you think bigger.
Who Should Apply? – Curious, motivated, and coachable high school students ready to collaborate, solve problems, and turn ideas into action. No business idea or technical experience required.
Accessibility by Design – Learn to create solutions that consider different users, abilities, and real-world needs.
Locations – Workshops are hosted at leading businesses across Tampa Bay, giving students first hand exposure to the professional community.

Registration is open until December 1. Each member of a team registers separately, and registering includes a $100 registration deposit, paid by card when you finish.

Open the SharkMakers High School Program Agreement (PDF) and read it before you sign. It covers taking part, the code of conduct, who owns your team’s work, the $750 fundraising commitment, the winning team’s ambassador term, the media release and refunds.

Typing your name is how each of you signs. We record the date and time this registration is sent, and email a copy to both of you.

These boxes are ready to check, but please open the agreement above and read it first - checking them is how you accept it. Both boxes and both names are needed, or we cannot accept the registration.

Registration deposit: $100. When you send this form you go straight to a secure Stripe page to pay it by card. Your registration is complete once the deposit is paid, and that is when the student and the parent or guardian get their copy by email.
